Japanese Hardest Language To Learn

| |

People often debate what is the hardest language in the world to learn. assuming your native language is english or one of the other indo-european languages like spanish, german, russian, or farsi, then an asian language like chinese, japanese, or korean is an obvious choice.. The japanese language proficiency test is the gold standard for evaluation of japanese proficiency. it's considered amongst the hardest language tests on the planet (for native english speakers). anyone who has passed the highest level of jlpt (level 1) will admit that japanese is a difficult language indeed.. Barry farber, the author of “how to learn any language” and a polyglot many times over, says that finnish is one of the hardest languages for him to learn. finnish is in the finno-ugric language family, with estonian and hungarian. without germanic or latin influence, finnish vocabulary is completely alien to english speakers..

Chinese isn’t as hard as people think it is and although the writing system is a nightmare, the grammar couldn’t be any simpler. japanese is difficult in a “weird” kind of way. every language has a certain essence of logic to it that you start to tap into as you progress gradually; didn’t happen to me with japanese.. For example, japanese might be one of the hardest languages out there for a native english speaker (or so i’ve often heard), but for a korean person learning japanese, this latter will be infinitely easier than to learn english, simply because japanese and korean have so much more in common than korean and english.. Japanese really does have the most complex writing system in the world. here i spell out its history and my struggle to learn it. subscribe for language!.
