Hey, i've been studying japanese for 2 years, i've been lazy though throughout the 2 years, but now i'm really hitting it off and devoted myself to studying every day if possible. i plan to learn hiragana, then katakana, then the spoken language then kanji.. Going from beginner level to n1 is, in my view, not a realistic goal. in two years is possibly a realistic goal. i really wish people would stop taking language proficiency tests as an end unto themselves. they are a means to measure your progress. just focus on learning japanese..
