Is it a bad idea to learn both mandarin and japanese at the same time? update cancel. answer wiki. 4 answers. micah sittig, is learning korean and chinese (mandarin) at the same time possible, or is that a bad idea? can you learn both korean and japanese at the same time as an english speaker?. Best answer: it's totally possible! just split your time. i am learning japanese and korean as hobbies, and chinese are a serious language to have in life. i casually study japanese, like watching japanese videos, always listening to japanese music (j-pop and j-rock ftw), and reading books on reading it.. Best answer: try and learn one at a time. theres no way you can get two unfamiliar languages to go into your head..i tried learning korean and vietnamese at the same time and eh lets just say its not easy. its not impossible tho if u are really gifted at memorizing other than that jus stick to one and learn the other one later..
Having said that, grammar in korean and japanese are extremely similar–in fact i think you can safely consider them the same. however, japanese is a simple language to learn for a korean speaker, but korean is a challenging language to learn for a japanese speaker.. We are updating the most effective method of learning foreign languages analyzed through machine learning and cognitive science. you can improve effective memory and foreign language application. I don't see why it would be bad. unless you have difficulty separating the two languages when you're learning them. in fact, it possibly could help you. older korean words have chinese influences, so taking chinese and korean at the same time would help..
